PDF Fusion –

It says it edit’s PDF’s, after several hours of trying and not succedding I contacted support. It is a basic tool designed to let you assemble, correct and merges various common types of basic documents to create basic PDF files, unlike other more advanced PDF creator software. PDF Fusion can only do very minor edits. You need to be in Page view View, Page. Disappointed – not very intuitive.

Having used Cored Draw when it first came out about 15 to 20 years ago? Should be easy right? Should not have to labor thru a manual. Selected some text to be edited and a tool bar with about 8 icons appeared. Good start. But, hovering the cursor over the various icons and Corel did not automatically identify their function.

So, try one, then another, and Undo undesired changes as we go. Finally, found one that made the changes, but it “unbolded” the font, when all the surrounding font was bold. Also no option to make it bold, on that simple edit. So, search around to find how to make it bold, and another 10 to 20 minutes blown. This is very basic, and should be EASY. But, with all the good intuitive programs that have been developed, especially by experienced companies, like Corel, I would think that they could have done a lot better.

This program is reminiscent of the powerful but hard-to-use Nuance programs. I will probably invest some time, grudgingly, reading the manual to find out how to make the few trivial changes needed, that should be self evident. Update to follow. The Amazon version download is 1.

Both are very old. It does allow for redaction, which for Acrobat DC requires the expensive Pro version. Fusion has it included albeit somewhat cumbersome. Overall a good basic PDF editor with an old fashioned interface.

Installation can be a pain. Simple – the product would not load then after hours of dealing with Corel’s customer service and Amazon’s customer service I simply learned that its incompatible with my system. In the description and questions section it clearly states that it will load and work on my system – Nope. Images in this review.

Not the most user friendly for adding text to PDFs, but it’s usable. It was blank as if I never even put text in that part of the document. This made me look terrible in front of my client who thought that I did not proofread the document. It happened to me with at least three different documents, no matter what I did to try to fix the problem.

I’ve decided the software is useless to me because of this issue. I recommend paying for another program, even if it costs more. Added an objectionable yellow bar to MS Word documents that had a graphic in the header. This product does not work. There are two software packages, one where you can drag and drop documents to “fuse” together as a pdf and another where you can mass convert documents to pdfs of various styles.

For me the fusion product did not work as advertised because I had a logo in my Word document header that apparently was causing a yellow bar to appear in the upper left corner of every page of every imported word document.

I could circumvent that by turning every word document into a pdf first, but that means a lot of extra steps. I could not upload any document to it at all. Customer service was not helpful. I was subjected to two different customer service people and don’t know why that was. My last correspondence with the 2nd one was that I should supply the serial number of my product, which I had done with my first email.

The fushion part of the soft ware would have been great if if worked. The price was right. The text boxes were difficult to adjust to cover up existing text or existing images! The text box did not print out always; though, the screen view presented the text boxes as visible ok. Font variety and color was standard. The text boxes as viewed in Adobe Reader had a dark background or a white background. Mostly a dark background and looked ugly went printed or viewed on the screen.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat DC at a discount. The text boxes printed and viewed the same and were not ugly! The text boxes were easily to use. Items that could be converted to text; then, this text could be edited as in any other editor. John Horner As much as possible. Get fast answers from reviewers. PillPack Pharmacy Simplified. If the comments are blocking any areas that you need to edit, you can hide the layer by clicking on the Hide eye icon in the Objects docker. All text elements were imported as artistic text objects, and the fonts are identical to those in the PDF, as long as the original fonts from the PDF are on your system.

You can use the Text tool to change fonts or colors or characters if needed. Looking in the Objects docker, we can see that the background and superhero character are comprised of hundreds of individual curves. Here are a couple tips to organize the curves to make it easier to work with this document.

First, we are going to group all the curve objects that make up the superhero character. In the Objects docker, find the first curve for the character and select it. Hold down the Shift key and select the last curve, which selects the whole character.

Click on the eye icon to toggle off the visibility of this group to make sure you selected all the curves. So find this artistic text object in the Objects docker and drag it into the superhero group.

Now not only have you added a bit of organization to the Objects docker, you also have the superhero character grouped, which could be exported as an object if, say, you wanted to use him as a logo in other design files.

Follow the same process for the background, which is made up of over curves. Once these are grouped, you could export the background as a separate file, add effects, or change the color scheme. An issue that may occur after importing files created in other applications is these vertical breaks separating curves throughout the background image. The fix for this is really simple. Right-click on the background group and choose Object Hinting.

This feature helps improve object rendering by adjusting the display of an object so that it lines up with the pixel grid. The background still has hundreds of separate curves, but the breaks between curves are gone and they look much more smoothly blended. And because these curves are completely editable, you could change colors, move things around, add effects, etc.

Lock this group of background curves in the Objects docker, which will make it easier to work with other elements such as the text. As mentioned above, everything looks identical to the original. All text is artistic text, including the long text string along the bottom of the document. You could leave this text as is, if you just wanted simple changes like font or color.

But for more complex editing, or to change the copy itself, this should be converted to paragraph text. Note that there are separate artistic text objects for each place where the font switches to bold and back. And symbols, such as the copyright symbol, are also separate artistic text objects. When selecting artistic text for conversion to paragraph text, the selection order is important.

In the Objects docker, the first line we see in the document is actually the last line in the list of text strings in the Objects docker — the order is reversed. And if you were to use the Pick tool to marquee-select all the text on the document, the selection order would turn out upside-down.

To separate the lines, increase the spacing by dragging down the leading icon. Now go into the text itself by double-clicking which will activate the Text tool and remove the line breaks if necessary. Here you can set the line spacing to match the point size of the text. The copyright symbol is included as regular text, so with it selected, switch to the Character tab of the Properties docker, expand the options, and use the Position icon to switch this character to Superscript.

Once your text is properly converted and formatted, you can go on to make any other type of text edits, such as changing the color or size, switching to a different font, etc.

Back in the Objects docker, turn the Comments layer back on to see the requested changes. The first request is to add a shadow to the title text which we can do with the Shadow tool.
